What is Tarot all about?

Hello Frens, This is my 1st post for my blog here.
I shall introduce Tarot.

Tarot that many people understand about is readings of "what is happening" and "will happen" or "fortune telling". In most people's minds, "Tarot card reading" means a woman in flowing robes, leaning over a small table in a candlelit room, foretelling impending doom.

You can find a brief tarot history from sources like Tarot or the Card Suit. I will NOT go into the details of these :)

But thats not really what the Tarot is all about. In fact, they are not even meant to tell your fortune or future ;)
What is the Tarot all about then? And how does it actually work?
According to Hermetic Golden Dawn "The most powerful sources of information come from within; the Tarot aids in coming in contact with one's own Higher Self."
When you draw on the Tarot Cards, it uses your energy to tell of the situation you are in. Some readers use specific Tarot Spreads from books or webpages.. Yet some design their own spreads and this usually comes about when they are proficient in Tarot.

There are different types of readings and uses of the Tarot. I will list some down here.

Tarot Questions Reading - deals with those who need assistance in dealing with everyday issues.
It tells of your current situation & what best action course you should take up on and focus.
In question readings, you are addressing a specific question. Tarot is not intended to answer specific yes or no questions. Most say it also shouldn't be used to make decisions, but instead should be used as a guide to help you make the decision yourself. For this reason, the way a question is stated is very important.

When addressing Question Readings, you should always keep your options open, ask a question thats broad but minimum detailed (For example, rather than asking how you can make your home life less chaotic, ask how you can better balance kid schedules and adult schedules. That is a focused question), focus the question on yourself (For example, asking why your son is experimenting with drugs is focusing on him, not you. Asking what role you play in your son's decision to experiment with drugs brings the focus of the question back to you), stay neutral (For example, asking why you're doing more work around the house than your spouse isn't neutral; asking how you can get more cooperation from your spouse when it comes to housework is neutral) & lastly be positive (Instead of asking why a specific event hasn't happened, ask what you can do to help make that event happen).

Life Purpose
Every person has a personalised Tarot Card that refers to them individually. Also one, two or three specific cards that explain your own life purpose here on Earth & your specific journey. It would also guide you of your current year specific card and issues to address and your coming years as well.
This is yet another reading.

Soul Contract Readings
In this reading, it tells you of your soul contract in this lifetime and also with regards to any specific person you choose to look at. It would provide a guide on the karmic relationship you have with yourself, and or another and what you are meant to learn from it.

Path Finder Readings
This reading assists you on the next steps that you would be able to take / make to arrive at the best outcome.
This reading can be related to the soul contract reading.

Chakra Reading
This is a good reading to perform when you find yourself unfocused, depressed, haywire, imbalanced, stuck. This reading would assist you in telling you which part of your chakra is imbalanced and what you would be required to do to balance it, which area in your life you would need to put more focus or emphasise on.

Well, that concludes my article for today!
Have a great day.
